MINUTES OF BOARD MEETING

TRUSTEES OF BARTON HILLS VILLAGE

December 8, 2014

The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order by President Boddie at 6:00 PM at the Village Hall.

ROLL CALL Present: Trustees Benson, Boddie, Borel, Butterwick, Izenberg, Langford, MacKrell and van der Velde. Absent: Trustee Al-Awar.
Others attending: ZPA Perry, Asst. Treasurer King and Supt. Esch.

PUBLIC COMMENT None.

MINUTES Minutes of the November 10, 2014 Trustees meeting were approved as printed. (Langford/Butterwick/P)

FINANCE/FINANCE COMMITTEE The Cash Balances report was distributed. The Cash Disbursements for November 2014 were approved as printed (Aux. Book XVII E).

(Butterwick/MacKrell/P) The Village Hall loan has been paid in full. Mrs. King will check on fees being charged on the Key Bank account.

STANDING REPORTS

Zoning and Planning Administrator (Perry) No report.

Planning Commission (MacKrell) Deferred to zoning ordinance discussion.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Security (Butterwick) The Barton Hills Village Hazard Mitigation Plan 5-Year Review 2014 report was approved as printed. (Butterwick/MacKrell/P)

Environmental (Butterwick/MacKrell) No report.

Long Range Planning (MacKrell) No report.

Personnel (Langford) No report.

Recreation (Benson) No report.

Roads/Vehicles (Al-Awar) No report.

Water (Davis) No report.

Zoning/ZO Revision (Perry) No report.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Charter amendment The Charter amendment process has been completed.

Proposed zoning ordinance. Proposed Ordinance No. 48 (Zoning) was adopted with one clarification:

--Section 5.03 B Height Limit to read: No building shall be erected, converted, enlarged, reconstructed, or structurally altered to exceed the height limit established for the district in which the building is located; however a chimney may exceed the height limit of the district by up to five feet. (Butterwick/MacKrell/P) The Planning Commission was commended for its work on the new ordinance.

Meeting dates The following dates were set for regular Trustee meetings in 2015: January 12, February 9, March 9, April 13, May 11 (Annual meeting), June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, October 12, November 9 (Organization meeting) and December 14.

Streetlights Installation of public streetlights was discussed.

NEW BUSINESS None.
