TRUSTEES OF BARTON HILLS VILLAGE

April 9, 2012

The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order by President Boddie at 6:00 PM at the Village Hall.

ROLL CALL Present: Trustees Al-Awar, Benson, Boddie, Borel, Butterwick, Izenberg, Langford, and MacKrell. Absent: Trustee van der Velde.
Others attending: Asst. Treasurer King, Supt. Esch and two residents.

PUBLIC COMMENT None.

MINUTES Minutes of the March 12, 2012 Trustees meeting were approved as printed. (Al-Awar/Butterwick/P)

FINANCE/FINANCE COMMITTEE The Cash Balances report was distributed. The Cash Disbursements for March 2012 were approved as printed (Aux. Book X E).  (Al-Awar/Langford/P)

Zoning and Planning Administrator (Perry) No report.

Planning Commission (MacKrell/Perry) No report.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Recreation (Benson) Details were confirmed for the 2012 Halloween pizza party/trolley ride. The Fall Village Picnic will be held on Sunday October 14, 2012.

Environmental (Butterwick/MacKrell) No report.

Long Range Planning (MacKrell) No report.

Personnel (Langford) No report.

Roads/Vehicles (Al-Awar) No report.

Security (Butterwick) No report.

Water (Davis) No report.

Zoning/ZO Revision (Perry) No report.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Ordinance No. 42. Ordinance No. 42 amending Ordinance No. 12 (regulation of auction sales) was approved with the following change: Section 4 (2) line one; strike “on-site”. (MacKrell/Butterwick/P)

NEW BUSINESS

Ordinance No. 4 Proposed revision of Ordinance No. 4 (public safety) was approved for publication in the Barton Bulletin to solicit public comment with one change: Add to Section 5 “If this appointment continues for more than 90 days the Village Board of Trustees must confirm the appointment.”

Outdoor lighting. Uplighting of trees was discussed and will be investigated further.
