The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order by President Boddie at 6:04 PM at the Village Hall.

ROLL CALL Present: Trustees Al-Awar, Benson, Boddie, Borel, Butterwick, MacKrell and van der Velde. Absent: Trustees Izenberg and Langford.
Others attending: Asst. Treasurer King, Supt. Esch and one guest.


WALL PERMIT  The application to construct retaining walls at 1011 Forest Road submitted by owners Edward and Linda Bove was approved as presented.  (Al-Awar/Benson/P)

MINUTES Minutes of the September 19, 2011 Trustees meeting were approved as printed. (Al-Awar/Butterwick/P)

FINANCE/FINANCE COMMITTEE The Cash Balances report was distributed. The Cash Disbursements for September 2011 were approved as printed (Aux. Book VII E (5))(MacKrell/Al-Awar/P)

Zoning and Planning Administrator
(Perry) No report.

Planning Commission (Boddie) Two applications for the open seat on the Planning Commission were received. President Boddie appointed Greg Curtner to the position.

(Butterwick/MacKrell) Quotes for the deer project were discussed. Communication will be sent to the residents to determine if there is support for the proposed project.

Recreation (Benson) Plans continue for the Halloween Hayride to be held on Monday October 31, 2011.

Security (Butterwick) A Washtenaw County Emergency Management representative will give a presentation at the November 14, 2011 Trustee meeting regarding emergency sirens.

Roads/Vehicles (Al-Awar) The purchase of another radar speed indicator will be delayed until more information can be obtained. Additional paving on Forest Road and Barton North Drive is necessary due to water/culvert repairs. Planned paving will be completed soon.

Long Range Planning (MacKrell) No report.

Personnel (Langford) No report.

Water (Davis) No report.

Zoning/ZO Revision (Perry) No report.

Atty. Laidlaw will prepare ordinances concerning regulation of signs and regulation of bicycles for Trustee consideration in the near future.

AT&T Some of the markers have been removed; the rest will also be removed. AT&T will be reminded about replacement of the survey marker.

NEW BUSINESS A representative of the owner of 989 Forest Road stated that some sort of discharge from the neighboring property is pooling in the septic field. A request from the owner concerning this situation about four years ago was unanswered. ZPA Perry will be asked to investigate.

Some type of screening was requested to fill in the view from Barton Shore Drive towards the recycling area. It was also suggested that the purchase of projection equipment for the Village Hall be considered.
